m7Discovery

I have released the m7Discovery yesterday. This game may analyze songs and generate dynamic platform levels of various heights in scale to the length of music. This is my first game and may be played here on Kongregate. The end result being that music influences the outcome of the experience right down to the way the level is designed. It appears the game is overlooked or misunderstood however, I am personally proud that I have achieved an original music game unlike any other.

The game generates musical notes across the level which the player may collect. Each note represents a small percentage of the overall song being played. As the player collects music the song is able to play. There is a giant beam of light the travels across the stage representing the songs progress. This beam of light will stop as soon as the limit of musical notes has been reached. Each consecutive music note obtained will attribute to the volume of the song thus increasing the bonus points received through collecting and fighting.

In the game's normal and hard difficulty monsters will appear when the beat of music is high. The player is able to attack the monsters for combos and points. Monsters may respawn and will also increase in difficulty further in the level.

 This game includes a great deal of excellent game design features although they are not fully realized in the game yet. This features will be updated and used for future projects. The technology involved is my StarLaw AI, 2.5DZ-axis platform environments, numeric audio analyzation and procedural tiling function.
